Senior Server Administrator (Windows) - F27 Top
Auran requires additional members for its' server operations team. As a member of the team, you will be involved in the 24/7 running and administration of the various server back-ends behind Aurans' up-coming title "Fury".
The role will mainly entail working Monday to Friday 9 - 6 but will require additional shift work outside these times and "on call" status. In addition to core administration, you will be in close contact with the development team and customer support team providing feedback on issues to do with the game, the servers and the accompanying website.
To be successful in this position you will have proven experience providing server administration, network support or related server operations roles within medium to large environments (3 years plus experience).
Previous operational experience with a large-scale Windows Server 2003 environment
Operational understanding and knowledge of Windows Server platforms
Strong ability to work under pressure due to high SLA demands
Strong ability to adapt to new technologies and toolsets
Ability to work in a team environment
You will have extensive experience with:
Windows Server 2003
Remote administration and management of server clusters
Configuring and administrating Windows IIS
Administrating Microsoft SQL Server 2005
TCP/IP networking and routing
It’s desirable for you to have experience:
Analysing database performance (MS-SQL)
Writing database queries (MS-SQL)
Working with custom server software (preferably computer games)
Working in a high multitasking environment
Administrating online forum software
Debugging HTML, DHTML, CSS, ASP and PHP
Programming in Visual C++
Good English written and oral communication skills are essential.
The position will be at Auran’s head office in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Auran requires additional members for its server operations team. As a member of the team, you will be involved in the 24/7 running and administration of the various server back-ends behind Auran’s up-coming title “Fury”. The role will require shift work (working 5 of 7 days).
To be successful in this position you will have experience providing server administration, network support or related server operations roles (1 year plus experience).

Strong ability to adapt to new technologies and toolsets
Ability to work in a team environment
You will have experience with:
Windows Server 2003
Linux & FreeBSD
Remote administration and management of server clusters
Monitoring Windows IIS and apache (under linux or a unix-like OS)
Administrating Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and MySQL
TCP/IP networking
It’s desirable for you to have experience:
VPN configuration and management
Firewalls (pf, iptables, cisco hardware firewall or others)
Working with custom server software (preferably computer games)
Analysing database performance (MS-SQL or MySQL)
Writing database queries (MS-SQL or MySQL)
Administrating online forum software
Debugging HTML, DHTML, CSS, ASP and PHP
Programming in Visual C++
Good English written and oral communication skills are essential.
The position will be at Auran’s head office in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
The position is for a minimum of nine months.
