Bridge
It is based on the Independent Games Festival 2003 award winning title
Bridge Construction Set (formerly Pontifex II). Bridge It
takes the original game to a new dimension utilizing the power of NVIDIA's
latest GeForce FX hardware and the Auran Jet 3D engine. In addition to
the graphics, Auran made gameplay tweaks and added features to enhance
the new player experience and keep Bridge Construction Set veterans
scratching their helmets.
The major new gameplay features are the introduction of a number of puzzling
new levels, an innovative scoring system and reproducible earthquakes!

Advanced shaders - A suite of complex vertex and pixel shaders is used
to push the limits of virtual reality and provide realistic water, sun
flares and wind swept grass fields. Using shaders, Auran adds pixel level
details to improve on an already highly detailed environment.
High resolution objects - The art in Bridge It uses hundreds of
thousands of polygons in both its environmental and game objects. This
level of detail was once reserved for still renders but is now completely
viable in real-time.
Real-time shadows - Bridge It uses the
GeForce FX's accelerated shadown generation to render complex and realistic
shadows in real-time. The shadows, when coupled with the lighting and
various visual effects, make a truly realistic environment.
Physics optimizations - Using today's latest
CPU instructions, Auran has inserted optimized physics pathways to allow
fast and accurate physics calculations.
Time based sound effects - Bridge It includes
numerous ambient and game related sound effects to add to the gaming experience.
Game related effects play in time with the simulation and ambient effects
are intelligently triggered using a zone system and vary depending on
the time of day.
Options galore - There are many defineable
command line options for the user to tweak. The user is provided a detailed
BridgeItOptions.txt file as a start and many of the standard Auran Jet
options can also be used.
