Your Trainz Experience Just Got A Whole Lot Bigger

This is the biggest news in Trainz history! Yes, Trainz is going Multiplayer!

Starting with a Public Beta in January 2011, Multiplayer will let you interact with your friends and other Trainz players from all over the world. Collaborate, compete and work as part of a well oiled machine running a huge rail system. It will be bigger than you ever imagined...

The Romance of the Rails hits Trainz The feature packed Princess Coronation set is a must have for anyone with a taste for the romance of rail. Conceived by the office of Sir William A. Stanier, FRS, the Princess Coronation is a classic example of British engineering at its finest. In the heated rivalry remembered as "the race to the north", these magnificent machines were devised to speed the LMS "Coronation Scot" service in competition with the LNER's Flying Scotsman for London-Scotland traffic. Capable of delivering over 3000hp the "Big Lizzys" were a formidable match for Gresley's A4. The first 10 locos of the class were built with a streamlined cladding colloquially referred to as an upside down bathtub. Due to the added weight and maintenance difficulties, the streamlining proved nonviable and it was later removed revealing a locomotive of very handsome lines. The remaining 28 locos were built without streamlining and the class became commonly known as "Duchesses". From 1945, smoke deflectors were fitted to help with smoke obscuring the crew's forward vision, giving them the distinctive final appearance that became so popular with observers. The LMS Princess Coronation pack is a high quality depiction of the class in LMS crimson and BR green liveries in unstreamlined guise as it appeared in latter years of service. These painstakingly modeled locomotives make use of the latest sound, physics and smoke systems. A custom cab interior and clever additional features such as scripted couplers, brake hoses, nameboards and configurable marker lamps make these horses a satisfying addition to your Trainz stable. Such a stylish locomotive deserves a stylish consist, and so providing the perfect accompaniment, is a set of LMS Period 3 (Stanier) coaches. With such attention to detail and so many great features, we're sure you'll find the Princess Coronation pack a truly immersive Trainz experience.

Trainz Screenshot Competition

To celebrate the launch of the Princess Coronation Pack, we are throwing a competition to see who can capture the best looking screenshots for Trainz 2010.

You can take a screenshot of whatever you like in Trainz 2010 be it The Blue Comet, Avery Drexel or your own creation. To enter all you have to do is post your screenshots into this forum thread. We will chose 10 screenshots out of the submissions who will receive a free copy of the new LMS Princess Coronation Pack! We will look at every last one of the screenshots to make sure we find the very best as we will be using these to represent Trainz 2010 across the globe.

Competition closes 23rd of December, 2010 leaving enough time for you to receive your brand new Coronation Pack for Christmas!
